My husband and I found this gorgeous little old cemetery today. I was originally told about it by some great ghost hunters in West Virginia.
I don't know the name of it yet. It is up behind the 7 &30 superette out by Beaver Local. I went to Beaver Local middle school and high school, passing it literally thousands of times and never knew it was there. See the family plots in the old iron fences? That is hard to find these days. This is about the size of Bowmans. It does have a certain charm. I can not wait until it gets warmer so it can be investigated properly. The area needs some work. Several stones need put back up for instance. There are two trees that are down that need to be cut away also. The main family there has the last name of March. So far my favorite stone has this little poem on it that reads:
Remember me as you pass by
As you are now, so once was I
As I am now, so shall you be
Prepare for death and follow me.
It is in the pic up there on the top in the right hand corner. The name is cut off, but I think it is for a man named Samual March.
If you know of any interesting sayings that come from a grave stone please email them to me and I will put them on here. Try to include the persons name to whom the grave stone belongs. And, any info anyone has on this little cemetery would be greatly appreciated.
