Then and Now In East Liverpool

(I am standing on the steps of the old post office, which is now the Ceramic Museum looking down 5th Street. ) I bumped into a lot of pics on the web. This one on the left is taken in the 1950's. The one on the right, Mar 3, 2009. It is the same intersection, but lots of subtle changes. Can you see them?

Here is Fifth Street looking down toward the Crooks Building (one of my favorite buildings in the city). The picture to the left is from about 1899. On the right, Mar 3, 2009.

And finally, the diamond. Where is the pottery that is at the end of the street in the left picture? It was huge and is a future story, as is the beautiful gray building on the corner. Note in the Mar 3, 2009 picture that the top is gone from the corner of said building. Some buildings grew, while others are just plain gone, with new ones in their place. I am always looking for old pics of the city to show you what was once here. If you have any let me know. Email me.
