Kay Bee Roller Rink

I broke my leg once in my life. I was 13 and my neighbors asked if my brother and I wanted to go roller skating. I did not know how to skate, but I excitedly went anyway. We were going to Kay Bee Roller Rink. Everybody went to Kay Bee Roller Rink. Some one threw something in front of me as I clumsily made my way around the rink and down I went. It was the one and only time I ever went roller skating. But it didn't stop me from going to Kay Bee to watch every one else. Kids fell in love there. They broke up there. Some just plain lived there! I heard Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" for the first time there.

When my mom (she goes with me on my photo adventures) and I pulled into the lot where it sits, I was puzzled because I remembered it being a lot bigger. Then I realized it was and most of it was just gone.

Sadly, I do not have any pictures of this building when it was the place to go. I am looking. If you have any, please consider sending me one so I can post it on here. The memories and emotions are thick there still. Sadness and melancholy have followed me home, though I find a small smile on my face. Yes, it was the place to go once upon a time. Kay Bee Roller Rink was so worth the many moments of our time that we gave it.
