Snow Makes It Rough For Ghost Hunting

Snow is one of the worst weather conditions for Ghost Hunting, especially outside.  There is nothing worse for pictures, even rain.  It is quieter and great for EVP sessions, but often it is so cold you can't stay out long.
We have a ghost walk scheduled at Thompson Park on Feb 27 at 7pm, but if the snow keeps up we will have to cancel.  I hope that is not the case, but it will be announced by noon tomorrow.  I am so ready for spring!!!

Sorry For My Inattention on here, but my mom is very ill.....

My mom is in ICU at Salem, Hospital.  She has pnuemonia and/or congestive heart failure.  We are waiting to see what will happen.  She is on a ventilator. I will get updates on here soon.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  If the snow ever melts, it will be so much easier.

Just Got The Word!

I found out today that theoverlook above Gretchen's Lock will now be called the Dustin Huffman Memorial Overlook.  Tragically, Dustin Huffman was killed in a fall on June 30 of 2009 very close to the look out.  The cross pictured above is far closer to the actual spot.  The cross was made by his best friend, Tyler, in loving memory of Dustin.  Dustin was only 17 years old though he left his mark on this world as permanently as if he were 80 when he died.
Here are some web sites on facebook to learn more about him and his family:!/profile.php?id=741077924!/pages/Dustin-Huffman/96461699932!/group.php?gid=286097718332
Please become a friend or a fan!
Rest In Peace Dustin Huffman.  You are so very missed. Some, like me, are filled with regret that we never got to know you when we had the chance.

A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.
He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.
When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.
He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side. When he was close enough, he called out, 'Excuse me, where are we?'
'This is Heaven, sir,' the man answered.
'Wow! Would you happen to have some water?' the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up.'
The man gestured, and the gate began to open.
'Can my friend,' gesturing toward his dog, 'come in, too?' the traveler asked.
'I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets.'
The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.
After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence.
As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.
Excuse me!' he called to the man. 'Do you have any water?'
'Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in.'
'How about my friend here?' the traveler gestured to the dog..
'There should be a bowl by the pump.'
They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.
When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.
'What do you call this place?' the traveler asked.
'This is Heaven,' he answered.
'Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too.'
'Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell.'
'Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?'
'No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind.'

Got this in an email and thought I'd share it.  Have you hugged your best friend today?

New Shirts in March-Ghosting 12 Paranormal Society

I am ordering new shirts in March.  They will say Ghosting 12 Paranormal Society.  If you are interested, I am selling them at cost-$6 each.  For 2x and up it is a dollar per x, so if you wear a 2x it is $7, 3x will be $8 , etc.  2010 is turning out to be a huge year already.  We have several walks and tours planned as well as private investigations.  There is enough interest to have a little Society going.  I need the shirt orders by March 10.  The order will be placed after that and the shirts generally take about a week.
Email me if you are interested.     I will need the money for the shirts also by March 10.
