A Haunting Picture Of A Ghost Portrayed

We are on a roll this week.
This is one of the pictures we used for the "Angel of Beaver Creek Video"  we did a few days ago.   Pictured are Madison, the cute little star of the video and Amber, her mommy. Amber is also one of my lead investigators and our lead for Bigfoot Hunting.  If you look above Madison's head you see what looks like a possible apparation.  We are excited, mainly because we didn't find this.  After we posted the video, someone who watched it pointed it out to us.  We are heading back out there tomorrow to have a look around the place.  The video we did is based on stories we have collected from  several people who have talked about seeing a strange little girl in the area.   Coupled with stories and local legends, we were able to determine this is the area in question and that is where we did our photo shoot.  We have investigated here several times and always only get "get out" on the EVP.  Just wondering if anyone else has had experiences in that area (the part across the bridge). If you have and want to share, email me:

The Door unlocked itself!

door unlocking itself

We did a private investigation in September of 2011 out on Y & O road.  This happened a total of 4 times we managed to catch the last one.  It is awesome!  Thankfully we are headed back there later this spring for another adventure!

The Ghostly Angel of Beaver Creek

The Ghostly Angel of Beaver CreekHere is our newest video. It is about a possible haunting in the section of Beaver Creek State Park, at the Pioneer Village, across the bridge.  We have been told several stories about a little girl warning children away from the water.  Interestingly, one of the stories told about Gretchen Gill is that she drowned saving another child in Beaver Creek.  Perhaps, lost somewhere in time, there is true story of a real little girl who died saving another child.  Something is over there.

Choosing The Right Paranormal Investigative Group

Jack at a private investigation earlier this year.
There are a lot of new crews out there talking about being paranormal investigators.  I think it is awesome there is such an interest in the field and look forward to it growing even larger!
If  you find yourself looking for a crew to come in and do an investigation in your home,  there are some things to look for.
 1. How much experience do they have?
2. What kind of equipment do they have?
Amber doing her Bigfoot thing.
3.  Are they charging you?  If so, find someone else.  Any and all paranormal investigation should be free.  You can't charge for something you can not prove!
4. What kind of services do they offer?  Are they based on scientific study?  Do they use occult practices like dousing rods or spells?  Do they make use of psychics or sensatives?
Kimberly at the East Liverpool City Hall Investigation!

Jon sporting new garb for G12P!
5. Are they professional?  Organized?
6. Google their group name and see what comes up. Often you can tell what kind of experience they have by what you find about them on the Internet.  Do they have newspaper articles about them?  What have they done in the community?

Sammi with Kris Williams and Ami Bruni of TAPS!
7.  How many people do they want to bring to your home?  4 to 6 is the limit unless it is a large building.  And remember, it is always your choice how many people come to your home.  If you decide you only want 2 people, then that is all they should send, with no argument.
You need to consider whether or not the crew is in it for the thrills or are they serious about paranormal study.   Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and any other web site they might be affiliated with.  Are they consistent? If their web site has not had any posts since October, you know they are not dedicated to real ghost hunting.
Don't be afraid to ask around about them.  Ask for references if you can't find any public information about them. Prior clients are sometimes willing to give their opinion about what kind of job the group did for them.
Remember, it is your home they are coming to.  You have the right  to ask questions and not stop until you get the answers that make you comfortable.    Chances are, if the team just started in 2011, for example, you are not going to get the experience necessary to really give you any answers. It takes time and practice to be able to catch a lot of EVP for example.  There are too many people out there who watched Ghost Hunters for several years and think they are now experts.  You want people with real experience in the field.  Not what they have seen on TV.  You have a right to know the names of people coming into your home as well.  Once you have them, Google them and see what comes up.  You might be surprised.
Look at more than one group.  Some might appeal more to you than others.
Ghosting 12 Paranormal has been a group since 2008.  My ghost hunting roots go back to 2003 and I have extensive experience out in the field, which I bring to every case I work on.  We volunteer in our community and often do fundraisers to help other groups and causes.  It is not just about the ghosts.  It is community, history, dedication, and teamwork to get the best answers.  Ghosting 12 Paranormal has all this and more.  Check us out.  Google our names.  You can see what we have done in the community and we will stand up to any test!

The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale! An Awesome Adventure!
How I will miss this show on Sunday nights!  It is one of my all time favorites.  Tonights season finale was as heart pounding as it could get and left us with a multitude of questions.  Who was the cloaked figure with the pet zombies on the chains? And what will happen to Andrea?   What kind of prison was that in the distance?  Why was Lori mad at Rick?  Didn't she want him to do something about Shane to begin with because Shane was causing trouble?  Why did Dale have to die?  What the Hell is Darryl thinking riding a motorcycle around with Zombies everywhere?  And finally, why do we have to wait until October for new episodes of this awesome show?  The answers to  most of these questions will be answered in the fall I guess.  UGH!  That is such a long time away!  :(

The Trails Look Great For The Grimms Bridge Tour!

We spent the better part of this gorgeous day checking out the trails at Grimms Bridge for next weeks tour.  They are all awesome.  If the weather is this nice next week, our tour should be great!
This is Will walking through Lock 49.
Sammi and Brooke checking out Lock 50!  This is the best time of year to go exploring in these areas.  You can see all the old buildings in the area, of which there are many!  Shears  and Franklin Mill were between Lock 49 and 50 and we checked them out with a fine tooth comb.
The area is full of mystery and so beautiful, even in the early spring, before the leaves are out.  Here everyone is checking out the rick-rack wall.  Nope, I don't know what that means.  I know it is what they call the wall we are walking on.  What the wall was for is still a mystery to me.

Lock 50 is still in descent shape. Some of the right side wall is missing, but he left looks pretty good.

Here the crew for the day stands in front of the old train tunnel.  Every one did a nice job!  We had some Newbie Crew Members in tow today, too.

Candy, who is from Irondale, joined us with her family.

And Marie came also with some members of her family.  They did a great job and we look forward to working with them again!

The trails area all clear.  The area is beautiful. And it is waiting for you to come and explore on March25 at 2pm with Ghosting 12 Paranormal!  Remember to bring your donation for the animal shelters!  They need our help.   I am personally a dog lover and I will do what I can to help them out that do not have forever homes. Please join us as we explore the Grimms Bridge Area and help out our local Animal Shelters!

Another Visit to Ohio Valley College of Technology - March 10, 2012

Saturday will find G12P at Ohio Valley College of Technology once again.   We will be talking about Columbiana County Legends According to History.  There will be pictures, story boards, ghost hunting equipment, and other ghostly things to look at and talk about.   We hope to leave you with a good idea of where to look for ghosts and what ghosts to look for!
Jon and I handled the Feb 18 class we had and it was awesome!!!  48 people came to hear all about Ghost Hunting 101.  The Class was about 2 1/2 hours and we raised $180 for the Animal Shelters!
This Saturday I will be joined by Amber Rodgers, who is talking about the Legend near and dear to her heart: BIGFOOT!  She plans on telling tales of the big guy in the Beaver Creek Area, as well as what to look for when on a Bigfoot Hunt.
We will be at OVCT to help dogs like this guy, who was at the Columbiana County Dog Pound a few weeks ago.  It is hard to go out there and see dogs like these who do not have forever homes.  Please come to OVCT on Saturday and leave a donation to help them have a better life!

Calcutta's History Emerging

This is the remains of an old Grist Mill from the Calcutta Area. What a treasure this is.  Calcutta has it's own mini Niagara Falls!  The whole wall is made of cut stone.  I felt like a kid at Christmas when I found this. I had looked twice before but didn't go far enough down the ravine. I am looking for more information about it.

This is a bridge that leads into Calcutta Acres  off of Rt 170.  I have driven across this many times and never paid attention to it before.  Cut stone lines the road  on one side which is what caught my attention today. I know it is just a bridge, but it is a bridge that is part of Calcutta's history, and since there is so little of it that remains, that makes this one special.
If you know anything about this bridge or the waterfall, please let me know!
