"The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, also known as The Grange, is a fraternal organization in the United States which encourages families to band together to promote the economic and political well-being of the community and agriculture. The Grange, founded after the Civil War in 1867, is the oldest American agricultural group with a national scope."

This Grange building sits on Salem Grange Road. It is a century building, I believe, though I still have not found out much about its history. Markings on it from United Local are from 2002 though, as that is when my son David was in school there. I never did find out what FEMTAN meant. Hmmm.....
There are a lot of old grange buildings around. I would love to know more about this one. Actually I would love to go inside and take some pictures... I did get one of the inside through a window.
And in case you are wondering, Yes, the lady in the window got me. I thought someone was up there looking down at me for a second.
