I went down to the Pioneer Village today to check out the clean up of the Williams House. It looks so weird there. And the house seemed so much bigger than the little spot that is left.
It still has the police line around where it used to be. And several of the trees are charred that were closest to the house.
The cut stone that made up the foundation now sits in a pile on the other side of the little garden. I don't know how they will ever fill the now gaping hole. They do have some ideas, including rebuilding the house, but nothing certain yet. Nothing will be as good as the house and all its history it brought with it. I will keep my ears open and let you know if I hear what kind of plans, if any, there might be.
