A Look At How A Family Death Portrait Was Done


This is a picture of a photographer doing a family death portrait.  You can even see the Dead Clamp behind the deceased man sitting in the chair, holding him up.  People looked at death so much differently a century ago than we do today.  Back then, family members often did everything for their loved ones, from birth to death.  It was probably a common thing to see a family carrying in their dead loved one to the photo studio.  It would definitely be shocking to see today!!!  For this and other pictures from the past, check out Pinterest!  Here is a link for their History section:
