To that end, the festival has vendors, local authors you can meet and greet, plenty of food, and a hayride through town that slowly tells the tale of the curse placed on the town over 100 years ago.
The real history of the town unfolds as well on the tour. One of our stops is the original homestead of Theophilus Gates Rogers, the founder of the town.
The wagon this year was outfitted with old church pews, making the adventure much more comfortable.
A maximum of about 18 people can fit on the wagon and we were full for nearly every tour.
The final stop on the tour is the house of one of the Galbreath brothers, who, according to legend, is the one who cursed the town. Still trying to piece the story together, and hope to have more information on the next tour in 2017. The tours run into the night.

We greatly look forward to the tours in 2017. If you haven't done it yet, this would be a great year to join us on this charming, spooky adventure!
